KIMS CSR Initiative

Life is good when you choose to make it better

Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has launched a center in Trivandrum that offers prosthetic limbs to the needy free of cost as part of its CSR initiative. This project has been launched in partnership with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS). The center which is known as the ‘KIMS-Jaipur Foot (BMVSS) Center’ was launched in January 2019 by D. R. Mehta, the founder of BMVSS.

This is the first time that BMVSS has tied up with a private hospital in India. KIMS Healthcare Group chairman, Dr M I Sahadulla told media persons that many institutes have shown interest in joining this initiative.

As of now, the center will be able to cater only five persons a day and prior appointments will have to be made to avail the services as the authorities are expecting a heavy rush. After firming up staff and facilities, we are the plan is to open more centers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and even in Sri Lanka.
